Occasionally DEMATAC has the pleasure of having, as our guests, visitors from abroad. They are
ecologically concerned people with a desire to know and learn about Los Tuxtlas. It is our hope that
they will become goodwill ambassadors for the region; aware of the natural beauty and unique
environment, and eager to share their experiences with friends and families upon their return
home, but cognizant also of the environmental problems facing the area and willing to support us
from afar in our efforts to protect the environment of Los Tuxtlas and to restore the ecological
balance vital to the region. Below we present two of our recent guests. We hope to have more.

Ursula Dusch is a twenty one year old student from Erlangen, Germany. She
spent over a month with us during March and April, 2006. She has returned
to her country where she will study theater in Berlin.

Akiko Matsumoto is from Tokyo, Japan. She has a degree in International
Relations. Akiko was with us for over two weeks during May, 2006. She is now
touring Peru, after which she will return to Mexico, hoping to live and work
here for an extended period of time.
