| June 22, 2006: Our president had the opportunity to accompany Ing. José Antonio González Azuara, Director de La Reserva de la Biosfera – Los Tuxtlas, and Marcelo Quintanilla Becerra de “Tu Decides Veracruz” on a flight over the Volcano Santa Marta. Although there was heavy cloud cover, one can still appreciate the fragility of the area and see the extensive deforestation in the region. The “Laguna Ostion” is polluted, principally because of raw sewage from the city of Coatzacoalcos. |
