| Reserva Ecológica La Otra Opción (Ecological Reserve The Other Option) represents a new alternative; an idea that many of the residents of the area view as absurd, and perhaps others think the same - converting 86 hectares (approximately 212 acres) of pasture into forest. |

| Of 136 hectares, 40 are forest, 86 are being forested with trees native to the region and grown in the nursery of La Otra Opción located in the community Miguel Hidalgo, and 10 will be used for the construction sites for 10 cabañas (cabins) designed for the use of environmental investigators, nature photographers, and those interested in conservation. The impressive diversity of flora y fauna found in the area, the emerging natural springs that convert into majestic waterfalls, the beautifully enchanting panoramas, the birds that dance happily on the breezes, the sound of wildlife at daybreak, and nights under star filled heavens - or a majestic thunder storm; that is La Otra Opción, a place where “Cuidamos el Mundo para Ti” (We Protect the World for You) |
